March 11, 2013

March Break week!  I hope everyone is having a nice peaceful and relaxing time with their children home or in camps.  Highly unlikely but it’s always nice to dream about.  I’m sure much my like house, there is a lot of driving here and there for pickups and drop offs.  But, in the long run if the kids are happy and entertained that’s what counts.  Enjoy!

A safety reminder to ensure that children, pets and the always brave ice fishermen stay off of the ice and be careful of rising spring water levels.  You will also note that many ditches in our area are quite deep so keep a watchful eye to wandering children.  We don’t want any mishaps or emergencies.

St. Peter’s Anglican Church

St. Peter’s Anglican Church has been an important part of the community of Minesing for 128 years. More than a century of worship, fellowship and community service will be remembered this month as St Peter’s prepares to open and close its doors for the last time.

Facing the reality of a continually dwindling congregation in changing times, the parish, which dates to 1885, will disband.  A final service of celebration and deconsecration will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at 4:00 pm., followed by a brief reception.  Please join us as we share treasured memories, celebrate our history and say farewell to this hallowed place!
