November 22, 2012

Wow, that was a fast month!  I apologize for not having articles in the last two issues, apparently my last email submission bounced back to me for reasons only my computer will know.

It was nice to see a good weather weekend this past weekend.  I noticed many in the neighbourhood out getting the last of the leaves raked up and gardens put to rest for the winter.  I did also notice some who were out putting up their Christmas lights getting ready for the upcoming season.  Good idea while the weather is warmer and fingers aren’t frozen.  I am excited to see how the neighbourhood will start to light up as we get closer to Christmas.

Maple Avenue East has a newly paved road and I am amazed that I didn’t notice how bad the road was until the new surface is there.  My car doesn’t dip to the right as I cross Huron street now, very nice.  I was impressed how quickly they actually tore up the old road and had the new one done.

I understand that a certain local country musician, Jason McCoy, filmed a Christmas music video in our very own bowling alley last week.  An exciting time for all those who went out to participate in the shoot.  We can’t wait to see it when it comes out, I’m sure it will be great.

Anyone interested in shovelling snow at the Community Centre for the winter, please get in touch with Wanda Chapman at (705) 739-7260.

Until next time, remember there are only 34 more days until Christmas!
